Salon: Lars Laumann (Norway)

Lars Laumann draws inspiration from the outskirts of popular culture. By sampling and reediting, he creates works that take form as installations or videos. Mixing different media and techniques, he creates idiosyncratical worlds, that are at times absurd and unsettling revelations of our collective modern mythologies. He has had solo shows at Maureen Paley, London and Galway Arts Scentre, Ireland; he has participated in group shows at Marian Goodman, New York, Kunsthalle Basel, Switzerland and the 5th Berlin Biennale, Germany.
