Chunhua Zhang considers painting as a medium that maximizes freedom of expression, one that allows him to communicate with his viewers through texture and traces of repeated alteration. In his works, scenes and objects appear in the “past tense.”
Chunhua Zhang participated in the 13th Havana Biennial; 11th Florence biennale 2017; and is involved in the contemporary Chinese art scene in Toronto.
