Sukaina Kubba

Sukaina Kubba is interested in stories of travel and transport across oceans, seas and deserts: people, animals, materials and manmade artifacts. Kubba works across several mediums including drawing, painting, fibres, audio, video and installation to explore material cultures, appropriation and assimilation. She is also interested in the study of rugs, their packaging and their transport; fictional lives on real cruise-ships; and parables about desert animals and their legal woes.

Sukaina Kubba has exhibited work at Aga Khan Museum, Toronto; Centre for Contemporary Art, Glasgow; and Kendall Koppe, Glasgow, among others.

Mary-Audrey Ramirez

In her art, Mary-Audrey Ramirez juxtaposes fantasy and reality to portray her fascination in the otherworldly. Ramirez views worldbuilding as a crucial part of her artistic process, and she draws inspiration from elements such as cosplay, video games, and how technology has infiltrated our daily lives.

Mary-Audrey Ramirez has exhibited work at Trauma Bar Und Kino, Berlin; Kunsthalle Baden-Baden; and Dortmunder Kunstverein, among others.

Dina El Kaisy Friemuth

Dina El Kaisy Friemuth’s practice deconstructs the complexities of collectivity and belonging through curating, teaching, writing, and visual arts, frequently created in collaboration with other cultural workers. Her work focuses on creating environments that prioritize voices from the global South, as well as decolonial and institutional critique. Together with Anita Beikour and Neda Sanai, she co-founded the artist collectives FCNN (Feminist Collective with No Name) and D.N.A.

Dina El Kaisy Friemuth’s has exhibited work at 11 Berlin Biennale; Gasworks, London; and O-Overgaden, Copenhagen, among others.
