His performances involve immersive experiences, such as living on the streets in Auckland, inhabiting a pig crate, and conducting the waves of the Pacific Ocean from its shore. Uhila’s work delves into cultural, social, and political themes, examining the intersection of traditional Tongan notions about the relationship between people and sacred animals with Western concepts.
